We love koi, so we encourage koi fish only ponds. Goldfish breed rapidly, so think twice before adding them to the pond. Koi are known as "living jewels." They have many humanistic traits. They feed together, huddle together, and they even court each other. There is a hierarchy and adoration for one another within the group. Their predators feed off these defenseless animals. Look for signs of predators such as; feathers, koi carcasses, fecal droppings, trampled aquatic plants, or skittish koi to prevent a fish extinction in ecosystem. |
